Hello! I'm Abigail Sajdak, a writer, photographer, and filmmaker with a passion for transnational and women-driven media. Born and raised just outside of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I spent my childhood expressing my creativity by writing stories and filming horror movies on a camcorder with my cousins. After relocating to Los Angeles to earn a BA in Media Production from Occidental College, I have created multiple short films ranging from horror to coming of age to documentary, and co-authored a research article on Korean virtual idols. With a focus in Asian media and pop culture and a semester abroad in Tokyo, I am returning to Japan this year with the goal to continue researching and creating work for a transnational audience.
